Figurative Form: Portraits in Clay SC-2013 (afternoon)
M - F, 1:30 - 4:30 pm, Studio 106
Working from photography, models, and molds, this course will uncover the possibilities of working with the body by addressing the processes, techniques, and concepts at play in contemporary figurative ceramics. Working with a range of direct construction methods, students will experiment with materiality, three-dimensional design, and functionality. Students will also learn more about low-fire surface treatments and glazing as they complete their projects. No prerequisite
